Tonight at 6 p.m., the Dade Historical Society will meet at Randy’s Restaurant to discuss the activity of the reprinting of the 1981 Dade History Book.

The Dade Historical Society is printing 100 copies of the “1981 History Book,” which will more than cover the current requests. After printing, the book also will be put online, where it can be read in its entirety and be updated as needed. Hard copies of the book also can be ordered from the Web site.

Due to the first Saturday being on New Year’s weekend, the meeting of the Dade County Historical Society is being moved to Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. at Randy’s. The society’s Genealogy Class is starting up again on Jan. 11 and will meet at the Dade County Public Library from 6-8 p.m. Sarah Roach is teaching and beginners are welcome along as well as the experienced.
