Next Sunset Concert is Sept. 19, series celebrating 10 years

Attendees at the first installment of the North River Civic Center’s Sunset Concert Series swayed to the smooth jazz and bright swing music of The Ralph Miller Quartet, featuring singer India Galyean.

This is the 10th annual season of the free concert series, said NRCC Director Linda Rugina. Each monthly musical installment typically sees 150 to 200 attendees, with as many as 300, depending on the musical entertainment.

“It’s very successful and the reason why is because of our sponsors we have in the community,” she said. “That’s the only way we can sponsor and pay for the musical guests.”

The concerts take place the third Friday of each month from 7-8 p.m. at the North River Civic Center, located at 1009 Executive Drive, Suite 102. The NRCC can be reached at 870-8924.
