Funded through the sale of a hospital built jointly by Red Bank and Soddy-Daisy, the Red Bank and Soddy-Daisy Foundation recently made $29,000 donations to the two cities.
Red Bank plans to put its funds toward the construction of a skate park. The city will apply for a grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation to get the remainder of the funds necessary. Mayor John Roberts said the city plans to put the skate park at White Oak Park between the playground and the dog park.
Soddy-Daisy is putting its funds toward the replacement of Fire Station 3, located on Dayton Pike next to Veterans Park.
