Ooltewah’s Tedford Family Dentistry will get a new location later this year when it moves to Cambridge Square, the 130-acre mixed-use development under construction at the corner of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road and Lee Highway.
After serving the community for the last five years in the practice’s current location at 5913 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Dr. Tedford said he anticipates officially moving into the new location in the latter half of 2013.
“Cambridge Square is the next big step in the incredible evolution of Ooltewah,” he said. “I’m excited about making a bigger impact here as a founding member of this new community. We offer our patients genuine personal attention. Our family-oriented environment will blend perfectly with the charm of this traditional Southern square.”
Tedford Family Dentistry is the fourth business to commit to the new development, following Morning Pointe, Lupi’s Pizza and Southern Burger Co.
No buildings on-site have been completed yet, but Cambridge Square spokesperson Jim Cheney said the Morning Pointe headquarters should be completed soon and will be followed by the completion of both restaurants this spring.
In addition to these buildings, the town square component of the project, including a small community stage, are also expected to be completed in the coming months, he said.
“Heading into the summer the goal is to start activating the square with a schedule of community events,” said Cheney.
The ultimate goal for the development is to create a downtown-type destination for the Ooltewah community that incorporates a mixture of offices, retail establishments and restaurants.
