Blossom Designs in Hixson is celebrating its third anniversary Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8 with a Fall Open House from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
“We want everyone to see our new products and trends for fall,” said owner Samantha Dawson.
In addition to offering patrons a 20-percent discount on purchases during the event, Dawson said customers can guess the number of owls on the store’s “owl tree” to win a $100 Blossom Designs gift card. A variety of other door prizes will also be up for grabs.
“We are the place to go for gifts, whether you’re ordering fresh flowers, picking up a quick gift or treating yourself,” said Dawson, a Soddy-Daisy resident whose shop offers fresh and permanent floral arrangements as well as an expanded line of accessories, Farmhouse Fresh skin care products and Trapp scented candles.
Blossom Designs moved to Hixson from its original location in Lakesite in July 2010. The business at first specialized in permanent arrangements only, but since it began offering fresh flowers in February 2011, 90 percent of orders received are now for fresh flowers, said Dawson.
Floral design manager Marchetta Anderson and designer Linda Moose have more than 50 years’ combined experience. Moose said the quality of their work and the freshness of the flowers are what make arrangements from Blossom Designs unique.
“We really try to deliver what the customer wants,” said Dawson.
New items at the store include earrings, texting gloves with “smartfingers,” gourmet dip packets for gift baskets and home décor featuring more sparkle, or “fall glitz.”
