It may not be Thanksgiving yet, but there’s just one week remaining until the Wednesday, Nov. 21 deadline to sign up to participate in the Red Bank Christmas Parade.
“It’s a good little Christmas parade with Santa, and a good family outing,” said Sonja Millard, who has been involved with the annual parade since it began about a decade ago.
She said anyone is welcome to enter a float, from groups and organizations such as sports teams, Scout troops and dance groups to local businesses.
Registration is free and the form can be completed online or dropped off at Red Bank City Hall, said City Recorder Ruthie Rohen.
“We want as much participation as we can get,” she said of the parade, which will take place on Dayton Boulevard Dec. 7 starting at 6 p.m. “It’s a good community event, and it’s the first Friday in December, so it really kind of kicks off the holiday season as far as Christmas goes.”
