Organizers of the annual Arts in the Park festival held each year in Collegedale’s Veterans Memorial Park are looking for additional vendors and volunteers to help with this year’s event.
The Sept. 3 festival will feature live music, student artwork and a juried arts and crafts show provided by vendors from around the region. Although the date for vendors to apply has technically already passed, organizers are willing to extend that date to help bring in a few more, said event coordinator and Chattanooga Market Media and Public Relations Director Melissa Siragusa.
“This is really a special arts festival that will be very different from the Chattanooga Market,” she said. “It’s a great opportunity for vendors to show and sell work to a different audience that might not be at the Chattanooga Market.”
All vendors must apply and can do so online at www.artsintheparkfestival.com. A limited number of each type of vendor will be allowed to present their wares. Small booths cost $75 and large booths cost $125. An additional $40 fee applies for those requiring electrical hookups.
For those who would like to participate in the event but aren’t equipped to be vendors, Siragusa said event coordinators are also looking for volunteers.
“Being a volunteer is a great way to get involved in the arts and meet people in the community,” she said.
To become a volunteer contact the Chattanooga Market at 648-2496 or info@chattanoogamarket.org.
The festival will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sept. 3.
